Walt Disney World, Sea World, and Islands of Adventure!!!!

I know it has been quite a while since I posted on here! We were so busy trying to get ready for our vacation and spring cleaning before we left that I have totally spaced writing on here! I won't be able to share any pictures today because my computer is being super slow :(

Our vacation went from May 6-May 15 2014 :) We had a really rough go the day we were suppose to fly out. There was a big storm at SLC airport. Our plane that we were suppose to be getting on had been struck by lightening 9 times before coming in to land. We also found out that 15 other planes had been struck by lightening that same morning. Way to start a vacation huh? We were delayed almost 4 hours. Luckily they found us a new plane to get onto and we were on our way. I hate flying extremely bad so I latched onto my hubby's arm the whole plane ride (4 hours). I'm surprised that he didn't have any bruising or permanent indentations. As soon as they opened the doors you could feel the humidity. Brennon was not ready for it! We got off the plane, got our rental cars (Dodge Chargers...awesome cars :) ), and headed to the hotel.

Our first day we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Such a fun and cute park. They don't have a lot of rides but they do have a lot of shows and things to see. We watched the Beauty and the Beast play first thing. I was a "silly girl" who follows Gaston in the play at our high school and since then I love watching the plays for Beauty and the Beast. Of course Disney is always the best! We got to ride Aerosmith's Rockin' Roller Coaster. It has a HUGE electric guitar in front of the ride! We also got to ride Toy Story Mania. It is different inside while waiting for the ride. They have the whole inside decorated as if you are in Andy's room as a toy :) So cute! The worst part of the day for me was having to ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. I really really really do not like that ride! But of course my family are bums and made me ride it. And where did I get shoved to you might ask? The FRONT of the ride! Worst feeling ever!!! After we got off the ride I didn't have much of a voice from screaming so loud. We went to where you could see your picture and my picture was classic. A few guys behind me said, "Wow! That girl in the yellow looks like she had a GREAT time." And several other laughs! All my family had a lot of laughs that day but they got me an ice cream for being such a good sport :) :) :)

Our second day we went to Disney's Epcot. My whole family's favorite park! Luckily we were there when they had their Flower and Garden Festival. They have all sorts of characters around the whole park that are statues but they are made out of flowers, greenery, and shrubbery. If I could figure out how to make them I will :) There is so so so much to do in that park that I won't be able to tell you everything that we did! If you want to see what all there is to do in Epcot you can look it up on https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/destinations/epcot/ . If you aren't sure what Epcot is I will tell you a little about it. This park is so massive. There really are 4 parts of the park. There is the Seas, the Land, World Showcase, and the technology stuff. The World Showcase is our favorite part. There are several different countries. They have brought people from those countries to help do everything in that part of their country. Some have rides and some just have shops and eateries. Honestly the shops and the food are the best part. They have brought items from that country and you can try the food that is popular there too. We also went to this park on our last day but more on that later.

Our third day we went to Sea World. From what I was told there is a lot more to do at this park than the one in San Diego. But nonetheless it was still so much fun :) We had a dining pass that day so we could eat all we wanted all day but only in certain food places. We all ate so much! We wanted to make sure we had our money's worth! We watched the Shamu show and while waiting they honored all the men and women who have and who served and are serving for our country! We are lucky to have my dad, two brothers, and my uncle who were able to stand up. So very proud of them and what they do for us each and everyday! Love you guys!!!! We also watched a sea lion show called Clyde and Seamore. My favorite show!!! We did ride a few rides that day as well and got to see a lot of animals.

Our fourth day we went to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. This is where the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has come to life!!! Honestly I could have spent all day there! Just the atmosphere in itself was breathtaking. You felt as if you really were there! Our childhood dreams came true. We were able to go on a ride that is in Hogwarts castle so you got to see the inside of the castle. It was really neat! They had all the food places that you could find in Hogsmeade. They had a few more rides that we rode but we really loved the wand shop and the candy store Honeydukes. Brennon just had to get a chocolate frog. His trading card he got was Rowena Ravenclaw. We got to try chocolate covered flys, peppermint frogs, pumpkin juice, and butterbeer! I wasn't a fan of butterbeer but that is because it tastes to me like cream soda (not a fan). But everyone else loved it! They also had Dr. Seuss land which was really cute! There was also The Lost Continent, Marvel area, Popeye's ship, and Jurassic Park. We walked all the way around the park and did what we wanted to do and then went back to Harry Potter. We loved it. If you are a fan you absolutely need to go there someday :)!

Our fifth day we went to Magic Kingdom. It is like the Disneyland of Disneyworld :) Some of their rides are a little different but we did what we wanted that day. We were a little bummed because Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride wasn't open and won't open until next week. But it sure does look like a cute ride. They have a really darling Fantasyland there! They have Rapunzel's tower and the little village all decorated up so so so cute! Other than all of that there isn't anything much different between Disneyworld and Disneyland in this park :)

Our sixth day we went to the Animal Kingdom. They have a lot of animals that you are able to go and see. They are kind of like jungle walk paths that you get to go on.  We were able to go on a safari and really see the animals up close!! A lot of new animals that we haven't even seen before :) We were able to go and explore Africa and Asia as well. They both have a few rides. Our favorite ride was the Mt. Everest Ride! It takes you on a lot of different twists and turns that you don't expect! But I won't spoil any more of that for you :)

And on our last day we all started at Epcot then Brennon and I split and went to Magic Kingdom. On this day the clouds decided to split up and it rained. I believe that the saying "when it rains it pours" originated from Florida because the rain there is sooo dang crazy! Brennon and I didn't want to buy a poncho and thought what the heck! We honestly didn't walk for more than a couple hundred feet and were drenched. Just like we went and jumped into a pool and got out! Greatful for my mom who decided to buy us one. We were near the back of the park at Epcot when we decided to turn around and head to Magic Kingdom. So we toughed it and walked to the front entrance to get on a monorail to take us to Magic Kingdom. Even with my poncho on my capris still managed to get soaked. The rain was falling so hard that it would hit the ground and go up and get me wet. And maybe that is because I am short too....who knows! Brennon and I spent the rest of our time at Magic Kingdom shopping and eating. It had stopped raining when we got there. We were able to watch part of a parade before they had to hurry and put the floats back in the back because it started raining again.

We all had a great time! We loved our hotel room and the swimming pool. When we got chances we were able to spend a few hours swimming :) Wyatt and Mike decided to do a ballet recital in the pool and they started to get quite the crowd of ladies and hotel workers :) laughed so hard it hurt :)

I am so lucky that Brennon and I were able to go on this trip! We might have spent all our money but that is ok :) We never know when we are going to be able to make it back. We will cherish the memories that we made :) Thanks to my wonderful mama for all the hard work and planning you had to do to make sure we could go with you! Love you :)

Hopefully I can get some pictures up soon :)

Crochet Mermaid Princess Cape Set

I have started working with my cousin who is a photographer! Check out her website http://www.aswride.com/ .I am trying to make fun photo props sets :) I recently made a mermaid princess cape set and a turtle shell cape set. I love them both :) However I need to start doing them all in different colors but I will work on them after I make more sets! I have to hurry and send them to her so we can get some cute pics of babies :) When she gets the pictures done I will post some on here :)

Here is the Mermaid Princess Cape Set

I think this is my most favorite item I have crocheted :) I just wish I had a baby to put in it to take lots and lots of pictures!!!

Here is the Turtle Shell Cape Set

I am hoping to make a pink and brown turtle set :) My husband's cousin is having a boy so we are hoping that we can use him for all these fun boy sets :)

Is anyone else ready for summer!?!?! I sure am! We are getting closer and closer to our vacation and I CANNOT WAIT! :) We planted 24 strawberry plants just a few days ago! We have never planted them before so we will see how they do! I am a little nervous because I think we planted them too early but it doesn't hurt to try! Where we had planted them we haven't had much luck of anything growing so we are hoping we can get some fruit. Not too far from them I have 5 raspberry plants. They are on there 2nd to 4th years! So if I am lucky I can get enough to put into my jam that I bottle.

We both decided that we aren't going to do a garden this year. There is only 2 of us at home and don't eat enough of it and either the birds or bugs get to our veggies or just go bad before we eat them. We have such a huge garden area and even when we have kids I don't think we will use the whole garden area. So we decided that our project for the year is to build a firepit. We are going to try and do a lot of it by ourselves including the chairs but we will see! Haha! We are both pretty rebellious kids!! But I am so excited to build it! Then we can have family and friends over to have hot dog and s'mores :) My favorite kind of nights are sitting next to a fire :) We won't start it until after our trip which is fine. It may take us all summer to get everything but that is ok :) it will be a good project for the both of us to do and then we can enjoy it forever!!! :)

Hope you all have a fantastic day!!

Cozies, Cake, and Bunco....OH MY!!!

Hello there! Sorry it has been a while since I have been on! Life, like always, is crazy! I decided I better make some cute spring cup cozies. They are just something I had in mind. I hope to make more :)

These were so fun and super easy to make! They are spring-y enough but could really be used all year long. They are available to buy here.

I also made a Mike Wazowski cozy like I said I would! I do think that it is pretty cute :)

Isn't he just darling!! He is available to buy here. I can't wait to make more of these fun Disney Inspired cup cozies.

Like I said before, life has been pretty busy. We have both been working non stop to save up for our vacation. We are getting closer! We just decided to that we are going to the Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios. It is where the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" is. Who wouldn't be excited to see that!! The hubby is so so excited! Just only a few more months and we are off!!

I also hosted Bunco at my house the other day and had a blast! My friend filled in and I think she had a blast! We have the craziest bunch of girls/ladies and have such a fun time :) I got all my prizes at Jo-Ann's. It was all Easter decorations and I was able to get them at 40% off so it was perfect! I made the yummiest cake ever :) Here is the recipe :)

Hawaiian Coconut Cake

1 box yellow cake mix
1 c sweetened condensed milk
1 c sweetened coconut
1/2 c sweetened toasted coconut
1 (3.4 oz.) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 3/4 c cold milk
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained well
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 tsp vanilla
8 oz. whipped topping

Make cake according to box directions and put in a 9" x 13" x 2". Cool completely. Poke holes halfway through the cake and pour the sweetened condensed milk over top. In a medium bowl mix together the 1 c coconut, vanilla pudding mix, and milk and let it set until firm. Mix in the drained pineapple. Spread this mixture over the cake. In another bowl mix together the cream cheese and vanilla until smooth. Beat in 1 cup whipped topping and then fold in the rest. Spread that mixture over top of the pineapple and then sprinkle the toasted coconut over top. This is a cake that needs to set overnight. If you decide to make it and it will be eaten in the same day it should sit for at least 4 hours.

*How to toast coconut: Turn stove on med-high heat. Put amount of coconut in pan. The coconut will burn easy so it will need to be constantly stirred. It takes at least 10 minutes for the process so it does take a lot of patience. As soon as it starts to brown watch it carefully so it will not burn. When it is toasted to how you want take it off of the oven and put in container until you are ready to use it.

This cake was such a hit! Everyone just loved it :) So I hope that you enjoy it!

I am working on some other crochet items and will put them on here hopefully this weekend! ENJOY! :)

Jack Skellington Inspired Cup Cozy

So I made a cup cozy today. I think that it turned out super cute :) I seen a picture on pinterest and just went for it! I LOVE Nightmare Before Christmas! The hubby however does not so I JUST had to make one ;). I love Jack Skellington! Plus I am in love with Disney of course! So here is my version!

As you can see this wraps around and buttons together. This can be used for hot and cold drinks :) It is 9" long and stretchy so it will fit around a 10 oz. cup to a 32 oz. cup.

YAY! The next one I will be working on is going to be Mike Wazowski!

If you are looking for a free crochet pattern just for the pattern you can look here . I love the patterns from Sarah at Repeat Crafter Me. She is simply amazing and inspires me for a lot of my crochet work! Thanks Sarah!!

Have a super day!!

Intro to Bagle's Beanies

Today I will give you a small intro to Bagle's Beanies. Where did you come up with Bagle? It is spelled wrong? Well in high school I took the stats for the wrestling team. Each year I received a hoodie and on the sleeve it said B. Argyle (maiden name). So the wrestlers started to call me Bargle :) Very unique nickname. Then they decided it was just too "manly" so we changed it to Bagle. The name has always stuck :)

I started to crochet about 3 years ago. My mother-in-law taught me how to make hot pads because it was one continuous stitch. Slowly for me that was just to boring :) I turned on the tv one day and seen they were crocheting granny squares. So I decided that I would try some. Then after I made a few I thought I just may as well make a blanket. So I made a blanket big enough to cover a full size blanket for my mom. I made it to match my room at home.

I started looking online for patterns that I could slowly crochet and I seen the famous owl beanies :) of course I just HAD to make one! Luckily my husband's cousin was having an open house for her little one Ammon to come into the world :) so I was so excited to give it to her :)

Brennon "trying" the beanie on for size :)

It isn't a very good picture but it was my very first picture :) Slowly I started getting more and more requests for this beanie. Then just making owl beanies wasn't enough for me! I had to find more beanies to make. It was easy money for me I thought. Never did I realize that this was going to be my favorite thing!! I make beautiful things with yarn ;) So I decided that I was going to make some beanies for my nieces and nephews. We have 13! We had a reunion coming up and I thought I could make it my deadline to get it all done. By the time the reunion came I still had 6 to make. I never thought I could get them finished....but I did! Never have my fingers moved so fast in my life. (I can crochet a lot faster now). I finished the last beanie right before we had the pictures taken :)

Here they are!!

Later after that one of my friends told me to start my Etsy account. I set it up and it boomed within a few weeks! :) So now here I am :) I will show you close ups of these beanies and hope that you enjoy them. Keep in mind that most are Disney Inspired. They are in no way affiliated with the movie makers :) They just give me inspiration :) (Pinterest does too :) )

New Blog!! :)

Well hello there!! I am so new to a blog so this is going to be a learning challenge for me :)! I wanted to share part of my business and part of my life. I crochet beanies mostly but I am expanding my crocheting techniques and ideas. So I will post all my new items I have made. These items are always for sale on my Etsy store http://www.etsy.com/shop/baglesbeanies. I also want to share the amazing life that I have with my wonderful husband!

We have been married for a little more than 2 years. We are hoping to soon start a little family of our own so we can fill our house. I will give you a little background on us :)

I met my husband Brennon when I started going to church "Singles Ward" in the LDS church in August of 2009. It is for young single adults. We had been in clogging several years before but we were just different people then and both just too shy. Anyways...we started texting when he was on a hunt and when he came back from his hunt we started to hang out. We both liked other people at the time so we stayed friends until about January of the following year. We dated for a few months then broke it off. And of course a few months later he realized it was a mistake and wanted me back :). So we dated and dated and dated for what seemed like forever (but it wasn't!). We went down to Bryce Canyon for New Years and at 11:30pm he asked me to be his wife. He picked out the ring and everything!!!

It was the best day of my life! There is such a long story behind our engagement!! I just about broke up with him the night before. Good thing I didn't!! Everyone at the party was so happy for us! We started planning our wedding the next day and decided our wedding to be on August 6, 2011. A LONG TIME! I KNOW! But we had to wait for his best friend, who was to be his best man, to come home from his mission.

We had some great engagements done! My husband is big into hunting so this picture below was one of our very favorites. It was not planned. It just so happened that a large herd of deer were just grazing in the meadow where we had pictures done!

Then shortly after that I had my bridals done :)

We were married in the Manti Temple for time and eternity :) BEST DAY EVER!

We have both been working. He works in retail and I work at an Assisted Living. We bought a house in 2012 and hope to fill it soon :)

We made a deal with each other that we would each go on a vacation of the others' choice. My husband is a HUGE Denver Broncos fan...so of course we went to Denver to watch them play against the Chiefs. Awesome game :) And I chose to go to Disney World. The deal was after that then we would try for a family :) We are so excited for the life ahead of us! We have been on an incredible journey and we know that it doesn't just stop here!

So here I raise my glass and say HAPPY BLOGGING :) Enjoy my crochet work and my life :)
